I was selected by the Department Chair and Psychiatry Research Pathway Director to be the Chief Resident of the Western Psychiatric Hospital at UPMC Psychiatry Research Pathway, where I developed a detailed curriculum with two of my colleagues and led recruitment and administrative efforts for the Research Pathway Residents.

Brain & Behavior Research Foundation NARSAD Young Investigator Award
The BBRF NARSAD Young Investigator Award is a competitive and prestigious early career award to advance research studies of mental illnesses. My award was named after Karen Seykora, a lovely individual who struggled with schizophrenia and whose family supported my grant to study the association between cannabis use and psychosis.

David Kupfer Research Fellowship
I received a research fellowship from the Western Psychiatric Hospital in Pittsburgh to support me during residency training.

National Institute of Mental Health MD/PhD R01 Supplement
I received a grant supplement during my psychiatry residency training to conduct molecular psychiatry research focused on understanding brain circuit alterations in schizophrenia

National Institute of Mental Health NRSA F30 Research Grant
I received my first National Institutes of Health training grant as a PhD student in the laboratory of David Lewis. Since that time, I have received multiple additional NIMH grants to conduct my research.
